I filmed this with my old Nikon 950 using the macro lens - inspired by a friend who is not only interested in close up pictures but also those of silver and gold.   The little etch marks on the jewellry are not evident in “real life” - only visible by this photo.

I was in Guelph with a bit of free time and wanted to film the river - it was a dramatic December day, the water was high and rushing, it looked so cold, and it was windy…. but before I could film that these ducks came swarming up to me.   The spot was behind a commercial building, I think perhaps the employees feed them on break and they thought I had food - who knows?   My original picture had a slower shutter speed and I found I liked the blurred look of motion so I kept filming in that setting.

Well here is the photo I was after originally…..  look how cold the water looks!
